Project Details

This period property required extensive preparation to restore the original timber sash windows and front entrance.

Areas of rotten timber, including sections of the window sills, were carefully cut out and replaced with new timber where necessary. Smaller areas of decay and imperfections were repaired using the Repair Care two-part resin system, providing a durable, long-lasting repair while preserving as much of the original woodwork as possible. We also fitted a new gate for the client.

The sash windows were then re-puttied where required before all bare timber was primed, followed by a full undercoat and finished with a high-quality oil-based gloss for a smooth, durable finish and excellent weather resistance.

To complete the project, the front door was prepared and finished in Farrow & Ball’s Drawing Room Blue, creating a striking entrance that complements the character of the property while providing long-lasting protection.
